Philippe McCartney, CSW
Our resident sommelier, Mr. McCartney, began his career at Walnut Hill College in 1996. Under his guidance, the wine list for the restaurants at Walnut Hill College has been awarded The Wine Spectator Award of Excellence every year for over a decade.
Mr. McCartney’s previous experience includes positions as General Manager for Susanna Foo, Inc., Multi-unit Manager for The Sheraton Valley Forge Complex, Food and Beverage Manager for Marriott, Inc., and Maître d’hôtel for La Camargue. Among his achievements and accolades are his Sommelier certification from the International Sommelier Guild in Ontario, Canada, AIWS certification from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust in London, England, and Certified Specialist of Wine certification from the Society of Wine Educators in Washington, DC.
