Alumna, A.S./B.S. in Culinary Arts
Cecelia Johnson-Chavis graduated with her A.S. in Culinary Arts in June 2016 and earned her bachelor’s degree in the same major in March 2018–as valedictorian of her class. Her love of cooking started at a very young age, when she would bake with her mother and help prepare holiday meals with her grandmother. This love was fueled even further by her exposure to the cultures and cuisines of Belgium and China. Although Cecelia can see herself in a variety of roles, she knows that food will always be at the forefront of what she does, and she intends to spend her life working to provide people from all walks of life with access to delicious, nutritious food.
