Kid Summer Camps
Do you know a child between the ages of 7 and 14 who loves to cook or bake? Then the Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College has a unique summer camp just for you!
For a few weeks every July, campers have the opportunity to hang out and learn with some of the best chef instructors in the industry. Throughout the week, beginning with the basics of kitchen safety, campers will participate in hands-on Culinary or Pastry classes in the College's kitchens – all while using real recipes easy enough to duplicate with the family at home. We also cover nutrition, ingredient information and food safety.
Our Summer Cooking Camp will expand your child’s dining horizons, build math skills and self esteem, promote teamwork and even get them to cook for you!

Steps To Enroll
STEP 1: You must complete a Summer Camp 2015 Registration Form (1 form per camper, please). The deadline for registration is MONDAY, JUNE 1, 2015, provided there are still seats available (camps fill up fast, so there is no guarantee). We only accept registration forms by email, mail or dropped off in person at the College's front desk.

Not sure how? Just do any one of the following:
1. Edit form in Adobe Reader using the “Sign” function and e-mail new file
2. Print form, fill it out, scan it and e-mail the scan to us
3. Print form, fill it out, take a clear photo of it and e-mail the photo to us

STEP 2: After your registration form and tuition payment has been received, you will receive a Welcome Packet via US Mail. You must complete the mandatory paperwork enclosed and return it to the College no later than FRIDAY, JUNE 19, 2015.

All camp weeks are held in the kitchens of the Allison Mansion on the main campus of The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College located at 4207 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104. Click here for directions.
Daily Camp Schedule:
Drop Off: 9:00 am – 9:15 am*
Morning Kitchen Session: 9:30 am – 12:00 pm
Complimentary Lunch: 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Afternoon Kitchen Session: 1:00 pm – 3:15 pm
Pick Up: 3:15 pm – 3:30 pm*
* The College does not provide early drop off or late pick up service, so please be on time! Campers may be dropped off and picked up on the porch of the Allison Mansion.
We accept campers between the ages of 7 and 14 years old. Ages 11-14 are eligible for any of the Junior Chefs camps. Ages 7-10 are only eligible for the Kiddie Cooks Camp.
1 Full Week of Camp: $525.00 per camper/per week
2 or More Full Weeks of Camp: $450.00 per camper/per week
Tuition includes: one chef jacket, hat and apron per week of camp.
Tuition does not include a tool kit. If you'd like to purchase a tool kit from the College, you may do so at the time of registration for an additional cost of $35.00 per camper.
Scholarships & Payment Plans
No, we do not offer any scholarships or payment plans for our Summer Camp. We do however offer a discount if you purchase more than one week of camp (please see tuition information above).
Refunds & Cancelations
No refunds will be issued for “no-shows” or missed camp sessions, days or weeks. If a camp session, day or week is canceled, the registrant will be refunded the corresponding tuition paid in the same method it was rendered. If a registrant cancels enrollment in any camp week before MONDAY, JUNE 1, 2015, the registrant will be refunded tuition paid, less a 5% handling fee, in the same method it was rendered (any tool kit purchases are exempt from the handling fee and will be refunded in full). No refunds will be issued after MONDAY, JUNE 1, 2015. The tuition discount will be rescinded if a registrant switches enrollment from 2 or more camp weeks to 1 camp week after the time of registration. Please allow at least 2-3 weeks to receive a refund.
Each camper must bring a personal tool kit to camp every day. Most people already have a lot of these common items in their home kitchens, but if you don't, you can purchase a tool kit from the College for an additional $35.00 fee at the time of registration that will be distributed to your camper on the first day of camp.
