Activities / Events
The campus is alive with a menu of student activities, which support educational enthusiasm and camaraderie. The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College's Office of Student Life team coordinates co- curricular and extra curricular activities both on and off campus; guest lectures by industry leaders, cooking demonstrations by renowned chefs and cookbook authors, field trips to restaurants, hotels, wineries, and much more.

Ongoing school-wide events are part of the spirit of Walnut Hill College. The school has so much to celebrate - welcoming new students to our community, autumn harvest, the coming of spring, the dog days of summer, and the ongoing successes of each one of our graduates.

Scheduled throughout the school year, special events are times when students can work closely with the chefs and instructors. Events often include banquets and dinners, participation in local and national culinary arts competitions, orientations, graduation, career fairs, and various promotional events for the college. Notices about these special events are always distributed or posted.

Video Messages and Electronic Bulletin Board
  • Television monitors on campus have video messages that keep students informed of all current events.
  • Electronic bulletin boards located at the student entrance by the purchasing center and at the entrance to The Center for Hospitality Studies deliver information on upcoming events and happenings throughout the day. These events are scheduled at different times and locations in order to give as many students as possible the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities.
